The Department relocated in the summer of 2008 to its new headquarters in Suite 2107, the building just to the north of hospital's Emergency Department. Please use Suite 2107's north door.

Heart Failure Program
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) occurs when your heart muscle fails to pump blood properly, resulting in shortness of breath, swelling in your legs and/or abdomen, congestion of the lungs and increased fatigue.

Our Heart Failure Program is designed to help you improve your quality of life. We educate you about CHF and provide ways to control the symptoms. We do so by helping you understand the role diet and exercise have in improving your health.

If you are diagnosed with CHF, have increased symptoms relating to CHF, been recently hospitalized due to CHF, or are experiencing decreasing abilities in performing daily activities as a result of CHF, then please talk to your health provider to see if you may qualify for our Heart Failure program.

Phase II and Phase III
There are two phases of outpatient Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation offered at BBGH.

Phase II is the initial, physician prescribed outpatient, as described above. Medicare and most major insurance carriers cover the cost of Phase II rehabilitation.

Phase III is a supervised maintenance program for patients who have completed a minimum of 75 percent of a Phase II program. This is a private pay program that assists patients with continued exercise regimes under medical supervision.
