Alliance Kiwanis Club President Don Sjostrum was happy to present AHS graduate Angela Edwards the Terry Padden Memorial Scholarship for 2010. It was presented Friday, July 16. Ms. Edwards is the daughter of Doug and Bonnie Edwards of Alliance. She will be using the $500 scholarship to attend Western Nebraska Community College in Scottsbluff this fall. Ms. Edwards plans to pursue a career in nursing. Mr. Padden belonged to the Alliance Kiwanis Club while he was the Chief Executive Officer at Box Butte General Hospital. This is the third scholarship awarded in his memory. |
