June Employee of the Month!

“I would like to nominate Janelle Trickler for the Employee of the Month. When I read what qualifies an employee for this honor I immediately thought of Janelle. “A willingness to exercise servant-leadership, take initiative, and accept and carry out additional responsibilities beyond regular job assignments for the good of the campus community as a whole.” In April a small group of Nurse Managers, Gail Burke, Angie Valdez and myself had come together in an attempt to provide clarity to the nursing staff in regards to the administration of blood and blood products. This included reviewing and archiving current policies and then developing a new policy. Janelle was asked to assist because working in Infusion she most likely administers more blood and blood products that anyone in our facility. Janelle willingly accepted the invitation and subsequently the responsibility of developing a new policy and procedure for blood administration. I am pleased to say that this task is near completion and Janelle was instrumental in this! Janelle Trickler is an asset to Box Butte General Hospital. She works hard daily to provide safe, compassionate and superb care. She recently worked as a leader to improve Blood Transfusion up to date and safe care to patients throughout the entire hospital. She is a great teammate to all. Her willingness to help throughout the facility either covering in a department or using her exceptional skills in ultrasound IV starts does not go unnoticed. Box Butte General Hospital is lucky to have such a great nurse.”
