Congratulations to our August Employee of the month, Staff Nurse Shantel Lurz, RN! 

Shantel's nominations read: 

"I would like to nominate Shantel Lurz for employee of the month. Shantel has worked for Box
Butte General Hospital for the last nine years. She has been a dedicated employee always
willing to go above and beyond for both her fellow employee and patients. She is always
willing to pick up an extra shift or trade a day to make sure we have the staffing needed
to ensure we are able to care effectively for our patients. She takes on roles on PCU like
helping with the schedule and is willing to help train new employees. She is someone you
know you can count on and who always comes through for her fellow staff, regardless of
what department they work for. Yesterday alone she was pulling blood for ER and starting
IVs even with her own full workload. We are lucky to have an amazing employee with
Shantel on our team and are thankful she chooses to work with us on PCU."

"I would also like to nominate Shantel Lurz for employee of the month. Shantel does an
outstanding job working with her patients making sure they’re taken care of with caring
hands. Shantel is also a reliable coworker. She deserves this position."
