BBGH's November Employee of the Month

Hospital news | Thursday, November 13, 2025

Congratulations to BBGH's November Employee of the Month - Amy Osborn! Your devotion to excellent patient care makes a difference! Thank you!

Her nomination reads, “I nominate Amy Osborn because she exhibits the BBGH values of Safety, Excellence, Compassion, Integrity, Teamwork, and Devotion. It is my privilege to nominate Amy for Employee of the Month at Box Butte General Hospital. Amy has been a dedicated member of our team for four years, providing exceptional care since her very first day. It is truly overdue that she receives this recognition-her continued hard work, dedication, and compassion are a testament to the outstanding employee she is. Amy exemplifies all of our core values: safety, excellence, compassion, integrity, teamwork, and devotion. Her commitment to patient safety is unwavering, and she is meticulous in ensuring every patient receives the right care at the right time. Amy’s pursuit of excellence is evident in her willingness to go above and beyond, such as when she personally delivered essential supplies to a patient in a neighboring town after their procedure. She didn’t have to do this- she could have easily told the patient to go to their local ER to get what they needed. Instead, Amy chose to go out of her way, after a full day of work, to ensure the patient could rest and recover at home. This selfless act prevented unnecessary stress and inconvenience for the patient and truly exemplifies her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. Amy’s compassion shines though in every interaction. She takes the time to truly know her patients, advocating for their needs and wishes, and providing support that extends far beyond clinical care. Her integrity is unmatched; she consistently does what is right for her patients and colleagues, even when it requires extra effort or goes unrecognized. Amy is a model of teamwork, frequently stepping in to help others and coordinating seamlessly with other departments, especially when schedules change. She manages the needs of multiple providers to ensure smooth operations and continuity of care. Her devotion to our mission is clear in the way that she consistently puts patients first. Another recent example of Amy’s devotion occurred when a patient needed to get to a neighboring hospital for continuity of care but did not have a ride. Even though it was the end of the day and Amy had completed her work, she offered to drive the patient herself, sacrificing her own time and evening to ensure the patient received the care they needed. It is truly remarkable that Amy has maintained this level of dedication and compassion throughout her years at BBGH, even without prior recognition. Her actions, both big and small, make a significant difference for our patients and our team. Amy is a role model for all of us and a key reason why Box Butte General Hospital is such a special place to work and receive care.”
