Box Butte Health Foundation & Jane’s Closet Invite Women to “Mammos & Mingle” Event at Box Butte General Hospital
Early detection saves lives- and it can also be a fun night out! The Box Butte Health Foundation, in collaboration with Jane’s Closet and with support from a grant received through the Cattlemen’s Ball, is excited to announce Mammos & Mingle. This is a special event designed to encourage women to prioritize their breast health and support each other to get their mammograms.
Mammos & Mingle will be held on October 7th from 4 PM- 7PM. The event is hosted outside of regular hours to provide a relaxing space and time for fun! There will be snacks, giveaways, a raffle for all participants and of course, screening mammograms for those who register. To register for a mammogram, call the Diagnostic Imaging department at 308-761-1311.
To be eligible for a screening mammogram during the event, participants must:
- Be 35 years of age or older
- Have no known breast health concerns
- Have not had a mammogram within the past year
This event was created through Jane’s Closet to offer a comfortable, stress-free opportunity for women to get screened alongside friends. Whether you’re coming for your first mammogram or supporting someone who is, Mammos & Mingle is here to make the process easy and empowering.
“Our goal is to turn something that might feel intimidating into something uplifting,” said Leslie Hulquist, the Diagnostic Imaging Manager at BBGH.
Even if you’re not quite ready for a mammogram, you’re still invited to stop by! The event is open to all women who want to learn more about breast health and screening options. Screenings will be performed by BBGH’s skilled and compassionate female mammographers, Leslie and Amber, who are experts at making your experience comfortable. So, don’t wait for symptoms-early detection is critical! Bring a friend, sip a mocktail, and support each other’s health!

Jane’s Closet was founded in 2007 by former BBGH employee Jane Wineteer, who dedicated her life to supporting others facing cancer like her.
