Biography
Derek Shafer, MD has been a Family Medicine and OB Provider here at Greater Nebraska Medical & Surgical Services since 2019. Dr. Shafer is from Sioux Falls, South Dakota and received his doctorate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Shafer views the patient and doctor as a team, helping solve the problem at hand together. Because of this partnership, Dr. Shafer and his patients are able to determine the best approach to patient care. When he isn’t here at BBGH you can find him playing disc golf, running, playing with his kids and grilling up some ribs.
