Biography
Patrick Duldulao, MS, CCC-SLP, has served as a speech-language pathologist at The Rehab & Wellness Center since 2019. Patrick works with patients and their caregivers to identify their values and apply clinical research to achieve their therapy goals. He enjoys treating swallowing/feeding and voice disorders, speech/language delays, and many more. Outside of helping patients, Patrick loves traveling, outdoor activities, and arts with family and friends.
Patrick helps children and adults, who have difficulties in the following areas:
- Swallowing—Problems with swallowing can make it hard to eat and drink safely.
- Cognition—A person may have problems with long- or short-term memory, attention, problem solving, concentration or organization.
- Voice—A person may lose their voice frequently or have a hoarse or breathy voice.
- Social communication—A person may have difficulty understanding how others feel or following the rules of conversation, such as knowing how to take turns.
- Speech sounds—A person may substitute one sound for another, leave sounds out, add sounds, or change a sound. It may be hard for others to understand them.
- Spoken and understanding language—A person may have trouble understanding what others are communicating to them, explaining what they are thinking or feeling, with reading or writing.
- Stuttering (fluency)—A person may get stuck on certain sounds or words. They may have tension or negative feelings about talking. This tension can get in the way of how they talk to others.
- Alternative communication modality — A person may need to find other ways to communicate besides talking, such as using a sign, pictures or a speech-generating device.
